Yes. We work with any breed, any dog, any problem. We specialize in working with the most challenging of dogs. If you are struggling with your dog’s behavior such as nipping or jumping on guests, please don’t give up, we can help you.
Yes, we are balanced trainers — which means that we don’t adhere to one specific method. We work with your dog to find out what motivates them.
One size does not fit all — dogs are unique in their likes and dislikes, just like humans. Some dogs aren’t very food motivated, and prefer play, toys, praise, etc.
This is especially important when fixing undesirable behavior like running off and being at risk of getting run over.
We schedule out our dog training sessions weeks in advance. All of our sessions are non-refundable and have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Dog training is a process of teamwork and collaboration. It involves owner commitment, consistency, and doing your homework.
We can get dogs to stop nipping, pulling on their leash, or jumping on guests. However, they need to do all of this when they are with you.
Our goal is to train YOU to train your dog. If you are consistent and do your homework, you will see breakthrough results and amazing transformations.
Because every dog is different, we don’t limit ourselves to just one dog training method.
We will choose the right dog training program for your dog to stop them from barking at other dogs, lunging at people, or disobeying commands.
Unfortunately, there is a lot of misinformation out there when it comes to dog training. Beware of any trainer that tells you that their way is the only way to train a dog!
At K9 Mania Dog Training, 100% of our focus is on you and your dog and your unique situation. We address behavioral problems from a holistic standpoint, whether that’s barking, nipping, separation anxiety, or something else.
We identify and work through behavioral and environmental issues in your everyday environment and in a setting where we can control when to introduce other distractions (i.e. other dogs, people, children, etc.).
Group classes are not ideal for addressing these issues since they often come with many distractions, other dogs with behavioral issues or one trainer for multiple dogs.
We cover the following areas: Nassau County, Suffolk County, Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan areas. Please contact us for more information.
Every dog is different with unique behavioral issues that can affect the length of time it would take to train them. Quick-fixes and shortcuts can potentially do more harm than good.
That’s why we work closely with your dog and you to make sure that you know what to expect. With the right amount of commitment, consistency, and effort, your dog should make steady progress that will last a lifetime.
No more pulling on the leash or barking at other dogs. We promise that if you give 100% to help your dog, we will do the same.
Our session are anywhere from 40 to 60 min depending on the dog. We spend a great deal of time analyzing the problem behaviors and your goals (nipping, biting, barking, resource guarding, etc.).
From there, we determine a training program that will outline how many sessions are needed. Each session after the initial will last roughly 1 hour depending on your dog’s ability that day and what is being taught.
Remember: you as an owner, must be fully invested in this learning process to get the results you want!
Absolutely! Sending your dog to us for Board and Train is like sending kids to school or summer camp. We might be their cool trainers, but you’ll always be #1 for your dog. We understand that it’s difficult to send your dog away for 3+ weeks, so you will get 3 updates per week, with pictures and videos.
By starting your dog off young, you are setting a good foundation to build on. Your puppy will go through changes. Early training can prevent bad habits like leash-pulling, barking at guests, or being aggressive towards other dogs.
You will need to stay consistent with their training and continue to advance their progress as your dog matures.
K9 Mania is always ready to help you with any issues that crop up or when you need more advanced dog training programs.
At K9 Mania Dog Training, our trainers spend time getting to know your dog during our first meet-up.
We pay close attention to your dog’s habits, mood, and specific needs. By figuring out what makes your dog unique, we can design a training plan that’s just right for them.
This way, your dog can grow and learn in the best way possible.
